Asekos Garden

Asekos prefers a whimsical style with curving, organically shaped beds and unmanicured plants resembling more of a cottage garden than a formal style.

Guto Pool Landscaping

Guto prefers a clean and open look. We re-did most of the foundational beds, removed some beds, sodded over them, and replaced the screening at the pool. We’ll be revisiting the property in the fall for additional work in the lower yard.

Aily Home Landscaping

Aily downsized to a smaller home, and we installed all sod and plantings on the property. They love variegated plants and a whimsical, fairy-garden feel, leading to the selection of a Japanese Maple, Loropetalum, and Goshiki Osmanthus as key plantings.

Mith Home Landscaping

Mith wanted to add character to a large lot. We added plantings around the foundation to add color to the existing base plantings and created large island plantings on either side of the property. Key selections included hydrangeas, a ginkgo tree, magnolias, and arborvitae for pops of blue, purple, yellow, and pink throughout the landscape.

Ung Water Feature

Ung was looking for a great hardscape base to create a backyard oasis. We created two raised patios—one now featuring a gazebo, the other with a seating wall around a firepit. We also installed a water feature in the corner of the yard in direct sight of both patios and placed steppers from the home to the patios.

Athke Walkway

Athke was looking for a front entrance/pathway with a statement. They prefer a natural, organic feel, so we chose flagstone for the pathway, which complements the stone at the front door. We also redid one of the foundational beds and extended a downspout drain.

Lendening Garden

Mr. and Mrs. Lendening recently purchased a new home, which allowed for a clean slate on their landscaping! We addressed some drainage concerns – some you can see, and some you can’t see! There are underground drainage pipes we installed, as well as a dry cobble bed to coax the water off the hill into a catch basin. We created an organically shaped paver patio accented with a Bloodgood Japanese Maple which gives an excellent pop of color and promises a bit of shade as it matures. There are two focal beds created using a garden accent wall to match the color of the patio with some of Mrs. Lendnening’s favorite plants; crape myrtles and gardenia, along with some camellias for fall/winter blooms. We added that same garden accent wall to the front and a few plantings to personalize the front entry.

Urphy Edging

This customer had problems with the rain washing his mulch into the street and the shade killing his turf. Typical rubber or steel edging wasn’t quite doing the trick for the mulch and a typical retaining wall was too formal for the style of the home.

Our solution was to install a 4-6” Stack Stone wall as edging to contain the mulch as well as some Zorro Zoysia sod to reduce any soil erosion and slow the water before it entered the planting bed.

Arter Flagstone Walk

Customer wanted a walkway to connect his newly installed covered porch and and awkward exit from his garage.

Rather than a full paver walkway we installed a flagstone stepper and gravel pathway.

Artinez Garden

Customer wanted perennial blooms from Spring all the way into Fall. The customer had some existing roses they wanted accented not covered.

The site offered both sun and part shade conditions giving me a broader plant palette to work with.

Tanley Poolside Landscaping

Customer was looking to create privacy screen and add some color to their landscape.

Using some slow growing arbs and a mixture of textures between Muhly Grass and Loropetalum we created a serene backyard fit for hosting the next summer BBQ.

Elle Clark Walkway

Customer was having trouble keeping the sod mud free and full on the shady side of their home.
To combat the elements we installed a care free, curvy walkway to compliment the flow of the foundation bed and installed a shade tolerant sod(Zorro Zoysia).

Hapman Backyard Landscaping

The homeowner had issues with erosion from having no groundcover but also has a backyard that is almost full shade.

This customer did their project through 2 phases. In phase one we neatened up the edges and installed some drainage.

Working with the erosion issues and using the shade to our advantage, this is what we were able to create!

Elletete Walkway

Customer was having trouble keeping the sod mud free and full on the shady side of their home.

To combat the elements we installed a care free, curvy walkway to compliment the flow of the foundation bed and installed a shade tolerant sod(Zorro Zoysia).

Ason Landscaping

When this client came to Green Biz they had only 2 requests: low maintenance and color. The home sits nicely on some country acreage with views only of the natural landscape. Using an assortment of blooming broadleaf evergreens, textured and brightly colored foliage, and some accent trees we were able to come up with a simple design that played nicely in hand with the home’s atmosphere and kept maintenance to a minimum. With formal themes blending into the natural flow of the surrounding environment, these clients were very pleased.

Mazlett Backyard Updates

This customer presented me with a backyard with one primary issue; bsolutely no sun. With over a dozen large pines the possibility for even dappled sun was limited. The customer wanted to soften his backyard by installing easy to maintain, shade loving plants. By adding an assortment of camellias, re-blooming azaleas, winter jasmine, and hydrangeas we were able to provide year round shady color.
