Established in 1979, Green Biz Nursery fulfilled a lifelong desire to be in the nursery business. Started in the backyard of my first home, it has grown to over 120 acres of field and container nursery stock.
The nursery consists of 40 acres of container stock in 1-gallon to 45-gallon sizes. Five rooting and liner houses provide a continuous flow of quality liners for the production of our stock. The product line consists of 1- and 2-gallon perennials, 3- to 15-gallon evergreen and deciduous shrubs, and 15- to 45-gallon trees and screening material.
Eighty acres are dedicated to field-grown B&B trees and shrubs. Sizes range from 6 to 8 feet for shrubs and screening plants and from 2-inch to 5-inch caliper for trees. Our location in eastern North Carolina, at the junction of I-95 and Hwy 87, provides easy access for shipping plant material and offers good growing conditions.
Green Biz is a family business operated by my wife, Cindy, my son, Charlie, and myself, Charles Allen.
